Join the conversation about science culture
14 February sees the launch of our new series of challenging conversations about science culture, entitled "Taboos and tricky topics". Tune in to hear from representatives across the chemistry community, and have your say.
The series follows on the heels of the launch of our Vision for a great science culture last year, in which we laid out the behaviours, values, expectations, attitudes and norms of a positive science community.
A positive science culture will benefit everyone, but achieving this will require a collective effort across the whole community, and will not be without challenges.
We've developed this series of conversations in order to tackle the various tensions between different aspects of science culture, beginning with the tension between advancing a research career, vs dedicating time to improving aspects of science culture.
This is an opportunity to hear from people at different career stages and from different backgrounds and settings. It's also a chance for you to be heard on these issues, via our questions and comments board, which you can submit to anonymously.
To join the conversation, simply head to our YouTube channel or LinkedIn page at 4pm UK time on 14 February. You can also submit your questions and comments any time from now, here.
